Lounge Rugs

We have recently been looking all over the High street for a rug for our lounge to make it look more cosy for the winter. A friend of mine told me about The Rug Seller, based in Trafford Park Manchester. It is an amazing place with a choice of thousands of rugs, with a huge range of prices and qualities. Many are displayed in their show room and you are able to take them home to try and return if they are unsuitable. The full range of the thousands of rugs they sell are available online and they can ship to any destination. They are stockists for The Plantation Rug Company and will price match any of their rugs that you find cheaper and reward you with a £5.00 refund for being so savvy. Here are some of my favourites.

I love the bobble trim on this Love rug. I can’t resist a bobble!

There are some beautiful rugs available through Niki Jones who used to be a buyer for The Conran Shop. They are quite an investment but just gorgeous.

This rug is from the High Street shop Dwell. The quality is again lovely and this particular colourway of blue, olive and cream would work perfectly in our lounge.

I found this charcoal grey crochet doily rug on Etsy and am so tempted to order it but am just not sure if it would stand up to constant wear and with two children and a cat, it is a real consideration. It’s definitely worth looking on Etsy if this is your prefered style, there are lots of talented crafters selling their creations and they are available in loads of colours and can be custom made to different sizes.

Finally this amazing rug to blow my budget out of the water. It’s never going to be mine but a girl can dream! It’s by Alexander McQueen and available through The Rug Company.
