For the last few years in interiors if it wasn’t grey it didn’t count. Thankfully we are now seeing lots of lovely toning accent colours taking on a life of their own such as soft nude pink and lately I’m being drawn to images of dark pine and forest greens that keep popping up in interior magazines and in press shots such as this rustic beauty by DeVol Kitchens.
These deep tones of green compliment the current on trend metallic, brass, which is appearing as accessories everywhere in bright shiny forms and with a beautiful patina as an antique brass finish. These shades of green have a lovely organic depth to them and are perfect for the winter months. The tone works beautifully with other dark colours such as grey, black and brown and brings a warmth to a dark moody space.
This particular tone of green is also making a regular appearance on furniture designs and looks amazing when velvet is used as the fabric of choice.
