Blush pink is having a fashion moment and if you haven’t bought your winter coat yet, this is the colour to go for, that’s if you can still get your hands on one!
Pastel pink always adds a touch of old fashioned glamour to the home and the master bedroom at Chez Barlow has been painted Ground Pink by Farrow & Ball for some years now. It was photographed a few years ago by Eleri Griffiths for a magazine and a feature on Design Sponge, which was very exciting as I love their sneak peak features. Although the paint colour remains the same, it is presently undergoing a transformation and is looking slightly more grown up and sophisticated, with new flint grey curtains from The Natural Curtain Company and sleeker fitted wardrobes in the chimney breast recesses which will be painted Pavilion grey by Farrow & Ball. We were reluctant to change the pink colour as it adds such a lovely warmth to the room.
Pastel pink can work in many guises and should not be confined to a child’s bedroom. Some of these images show that as well as being a feminine colour it can also look refined if used sparingly.
