On a recent trip to London, I visited one of my favourite shops, which I have blogged about in the past, Elemental in Spitalfields. Amongst the recycled treasures there, you can find the amazing upcycled furniture designs, created by Rupert Blanchard.
Rupert has in the past been awarded “best British product Design” in the 2011 British Design awards and is a regular exhibitor at Mid Century Modern fairs in London. His furniture is created from interesting salvage that he finds on his travels and includes re-used tin signs and 1950’s heinz boxes. I love the distressed finish of the pieces and the splashes of bold colour and graphics that he adds to his work.
