Rita Konig, writer & interior designer has certainly inherited the innate, eclectic British style of her mum, Nina Campbell. Although she has now relocated back to London, she lived and worked in new York for 6 years and I loved seeing the pictures of her NY apartment in The Selby.
Her use of colour and pattern makes her interiors so homely and unpretentious, a refreshing change from the over designed and styled, to within an inch of their lives, homes of many professional interior designers.
The New York Apartment
I remember avidly reading Rita’s design columns in The Telegrah and Vogue many years ago and was really inspired by her style, which I hope is reflected in my own home in some way. I’m certainly drawn to strong shots of colour in unexpected combinations and patterned rugs and wallpaper are used throughout. So Rita I thank you for all your advice over the years and am looking forward to seeing more images of your new UK abode!
