As you will know if you’ve been following my blog for a while, I’m a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas, but I must admit this year, I am loving black & white gift wrap, it’s graphic simplicity looks so stylish and you can always add a bit of sparkle or foliage to make it a bit more Christmassy.
There are lots of great craft ideas to make your own monochrome gift wrap but if you run out of time, as most of us do, as the big day approaches, there are a few choices available to buy. I must say though that apart from Ikea, who do an amazing range of gift wrap all year round, our state side cousins seem to have the head start, as always, with lovely designs by pei-Design. I’ve only managed to find one UK stockist on their website which is Found in Bath but they don’t seem to stock their gift wrap, which is a shame.
Here’s some of the images giving me inspiration. I especially love the black and white photos, personalising presents for friends and family without the need for a gift tag and of course you can always use printer paper and black writing paper and just decorate with the black & white butchers twine from Papermash.
