Christmas Decoration Themes – Scandi Monochrome

One of the biggest trends for 2014 has been for all things monochrome. The scandinavians have shown us that less really is more with their pared down simple black & white schemes and the use of natural elements in the home.

The shops are full of black & white stylish decorations for Christmas, if this is your style you will be spoilt for choice. Here are a few of my favourites plus gift wrap to complete your scheme.

White antler candle holder and branch tree with lights from Graham & Green

Bespoke glass bauble Not on the High Street

Christmas garland & black & white bakers twine Papermash

Black & white polka dot gift wrap NOTHS

Some cheap & easy ways to bring scandi style into your Christmas scheme are by using galvanised buckets to place a small fir tree in, mine was picked up for £6 from Leek antique market and they can be easily found in traditional hardware shops. Also collect some gnarled branches from an old tree next time you’re on a walk and give them a light wash of white or pale grey paint, then twist white lights around and you have a chic and simple scandi style decoration.

Simple scandi style is so lovely isn't it? How nice to have somebody that you can visit there? Thanks for your comment Laurie x
