When I travel to other countries I always bring back arm fulls of interior magazines, or as much as my luggage allowance will allow, for extra inspiration.
This year, after a trip to Ibiza, I bought a Spanish copy of Architectural Digest and saw this lovely press shot for Zara Home. The look is all about natural textures and materials with a very rustic country feel.
When I worked at Laura Ashley, we would quite often be asked by customers to help them recreate a page from the LA catalogue, for them to buy and take home. A shot in a magazine is often a good starting point, when decorating or re styling a room. Not all the product in this Spanish press shot for Zara Home seems to be available in the UK, so if you like this scheme as much as I do and want to recreate something similar, here’s what’s available on our High Street.
Kasbah Rug Westelm
Decorative Animal skull Designer Sofas 4U
Jute storage basket Greige
Raised dot vase Zara Home
Nest Bowl French Connection
Oak frames Zara Home
I’ve included these linen cushions from the Ilse Crawford Sinnerlig range for Ikea as I prefer them to the faux fur ones used in the Zara home press shot. Stylists prerogative!
