Don’t you love the start of a new year? It gives you so much energy to think about all the things that you want to achieve over the next year. I am trying to harness this energy before it leaves me as I drown under the demands of life as a working mum of two.
One of the things I want to make plans for is some renovation to our house. We have been living here for 15 years, this year, and although the design of the rooms have largely stood the test of time, as we have tried to keep all the major purchases classic in design, I just feel a little bored with some of the rooms and some areas, such as the kitchen and bathroom, which get the most use, could certainly do with some TLC.
Here are some images of my dream bathroom. I just need to work out now how to get the budget to makes this dream a reality!
I keep thinking about the idea of getting rid of the bath, now that the
children aren’t little any more. We are definitely more of a shower
family and I love the idea of a big walk in shower such as these.
I really like the colours used in this bathroom, the shell pink with the wood really give it warmth.
I think this classic framed painting over the bath adds drama
A lovely feature of this bathroom is the Victorian fireplace
Dark and seductive with a beautiful reclaimed floor?
This would be the perfect configuration if I had the space. Fireplace check, large central bath check, loads of storage check, and walk in shower check!
A clever use of storage and keeping it all white adds to the sense of space in a tiny room.
