I would love to have the time to justify buying a vintage bicycle, but as my work requires me to have a car, to travel to jobs and for carrying numerous props, it’s a bit of a pipe dream at the moment.
I used to love riding my bike as a child and when I had my first born, cycling was our regular mode of transport to get us around. I would take him,to nursery, most days, on the back of my trusty mountain bike and when he, got his first big bike, we would regularly go for long rides with friends. I can remember setting off one day with George and his friend Lily and on our return they had clocked up just under 20 miles. Pretty impressive for two 6 year olds!
If you also have your eye on a vintage style bike, there are some beauties on the market, in ice cream shades, with pretty pannier’s and baskets to add to their charm. Check out http://www.begbicycles.com/
If, like me, you can’t quite warrant a bike but love the look of vintage models, there are loads of accessories out there, to satisfy your desire.
