I had a really nice day out on Saturday with my friend and her lovely teenage daughter Abby. We went along to The Traders Outlet Vintage fair which was the first event of its kind at this venue.
It seemed really busy and there were some great dealers, with some lovely items for sale, so hopefully it will have been a great success and run again on a regular basis?
Traders Outlet is located on the Downs in Altrincham, with another branch in Sale. The concept is a little like a market place with various dealers, all selling different wares, mainly interior items, gifts and clothes and there is a small cafe on the top floor.
Some of my favourite stalls were the delightful florist on the ground floor, Hummingbird flowers. The shop is beautifully merchandised with a pretty choice of spring blooms and potted plants. Vintage Angel Design, a dream shop if you love the feminine things in life, pink, pom poms and lace. If you’re looking for a gift for any of your girl friends, this is the shop. Plum & Pigeon is a delightful shop full of vintage inspired clothes and accessories, beautifully hand made.

The cafe upstairs was run by Vintage Afternoon teas and served filter coffee, Tea Pigs tea and a selection of gorgeous looking home made cakes, although unfortunately, for me, nothing Gluten Free.
Gwyneth who runs Vintage Afternoon teas has organised a secret tea jam-boree on Saturday 29th March, the secret being the venue, which will be revealed to ticket holders only.
The day consists of a demonstration by special guest jam maker Clippy McKenna followed by a three course afternoon tea served on vintage china and linens. The day would make a fab mothers day present?
