I’ve been up to my eyes lately, putting together design boards and choosing colour palettes, for a number of projects I’m working on. All will be revealed in the next few months!
Whilst doing some research I have been reading about the colour predictions from Farrow & Ball, the masters of muted, subdued colour palettes and my go to supplier almost every time. Their careful, but clever colour combinations never fail.
For 2012 here are their predictions. It looks as though our love affair with grey, the new neutral, continues but combined with some bright pops of colour. I feel a make over coming on for our hall! The red Cath Kidston runner is staying, why wouldn’t it, but the walls are crying out for something like F&B’s Elephants Breath. I love the colours used here in this hall.
Our hall as it is now
How it could look if I booked the decorator in!
A new colour, Brassica, such a lovely old fashioned calming purple.
This colour combination is not for the faint hearted or for those of us that like a cosy home, but it certainly adds impact to a room.
Babouche, another newcomer which works so well with their range of greys.
