Holiday Packing

Even though the stores are full of A/W trends, many of us, are still waiting to go on our summer holidays, which is frustrating if you have left your holiday shopping until the last minute, like me!

Luckily, most holiday buys are timeless pieces and I find I have a bit of a uniform that I pack each year for my holidays. Depending on if it’s Cornwall or a European beach destination, depends on the items but they rarely change. I tend to stick to a simple colour palette and take items I can layer. My new holiday essentials are individual fake lashes and a french gel manicure, so that I can go virtually make up free but still feel glamorous. When I first tried the fake lashes, I was worried I was going to look like an extra from TOWIE, but trust me they are amazing and look so natural. You can have them as long or as full as you like and I always ask for mine just slightly fuller and longer than nature intended. You can swim in them every day of your holidays and they will still last approximately three weeks.

For Ibiza, our holiday destination for the last few summers, I pack simple dresses and flat sandals, a few pairs of shorts with plain tops that can be dressed up in the evening with scarfs and jewellery and for this year, a black jumpsuit which will be great for travelling in. I always leave room in my case for market buys, Ibiza has some of the best such as Las Dalias & Punta Arabi

A good pashmina is a real investment buy, for the flight and chilly evenings and always a straw hat to stop my high lights being ruined in the midday sun.

I’ve found the website Lyst, has been a great source this year. You literally make a wish list of items and the website alerts you when items are back in stock or more importantly, when they are in the sale. It even provides a link to the stores own website which takes you straight to your chosen item, so that you can order it before it sells out again. Genius!

Some of my holiday must haves on my Lyst wish list
